Culpability is enough and willing
for you
for me
but never for the potentate weeds
they divert to the block
your head
a head
any figure head.

this is a co-operative effort of The Triumvirate. all views expressed here will be cogent, intelligent, well-reasoned, and fully thought-out. if you find anything said, done, or thought by any of The Triumvirate to be insulting, derogatory, or offensive, that simply means that we are doing our job, and that YOU need to open your eyes, open your mind, and realize there is existence outside of your groupthink.

This poem is written about the lack of accountability among the cheiftans of our society, and how they tend to hang the necklace of blame on figurheads. When i said "culpability is enough and willing for you...for me" I meant, as you probably know, that justice, or what passes for justice in this country, is served to the general populace on a daily basis and in the form of a 30 inch dildo. Whereas, a politician gets caugh lying, releasing the name of an undercover CIA agent to the press, and he/ she is pardoned or rarely ever gets caught in general. And "Potentate weeds" being potentate= someone who rules over a society, and weeds= something that kills other healthy, wanted plants and ends up devouring and overpowering the area they were introduced to, but that is pretty self explanatory. And the reference to "Robespierres." Well, that was a reference to Maximillian Robespierre of the Jacobins, the group who managed to sieze power during the French Revolution, who was a brutal, crazy, hipocritical fucker who sent thousands of innocent people to the Guillotine just because he needed the air of suspicion directed outward, away from him, while he was runnin sheeeit. And this was because, like most politicians, he was a crooked fucker who used the government for his personal use. Eventually the populace wised up and turned the guillotine on him.
come on man...give me a little credit...i know who Robespierre and the Jacobins were...ya bastard...:)
very nice, my friend. i have an even higher regard for this piece, given your extensive commentary. damn man...i've become so caught up in my self, i rarely, if ever, write anything like this with a social/political edge...gotta get back into that...i'll see if i can dredge up some oldies...
